Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

February 2012
HENRY

Henry is a 12 year old Liver and White Springer. His present owner is working long hours and feels that he needs more company. Henry has an excellent temperament and is good with people, children, cats and other dogs. He is in very good health for his age. He has a bit of athritis and is on medication for this and also has joint supplements. He has just one fatty lump on his side. His eyes are a bit cloudy, but he can see quite well. He is a bit deaf so you need to shout if in the garden. He walks very well on the lead and travels well in the car, but needs to be lifted in. Henry is urgently looking for a permanent foster home.

MOLLY

Molly is a 12 year old Blue Roan show type Cocker Spaniel. She was taken to the vets to be put to sleep as she was no longer wanted. Her coat was very matted and had to be shaven off - so she needs to be kept warm until it grows back. She is very under weight and needed eye and ear drops. Molly is in temporary foster care at present having four small meals a day. Her eyes are now fine. She has always had problems with her right ear - but nothing serious - it just needs to be kept clean. Molly is good with other dogs and cats and is used to older children. She travels well in the car. She has a few fatty lumps and she does whine when left home alone. Molly is a super little old lady, who still thinks she is a youngster! She is urgently looking for a permanent foster home.

PATCHES

PATCHES is almost 4 years old and is a black & white Springer. The health of both of its owners is failing & they are now not able to give this wonderful dog the life that he deserves. Patches loves to play and can be very boisterous. He has his good citizen award and he mixes well with other dogs. He has the freedom of the house which he respects but he does love to dig in the garden! When he comes in with muddy feet he will wait on the mat for his feet to be cleaned! Patches has not lived with a cat. He is used to teenaged grand-children. He sleeps on the settee but is not allowed on beds. He travels well in the car & can be left home alone for short periods. He pulls a lot on the lead but is better on a halti. He is quite good if off-lead but likes to finish sniffing out his current mission!

BILLY

Billy is a 2 year old Blue Roan show type Cocker. He needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. Billy is a very affectionate boy who loves attention. He is great with children and other dogs and has lived with another dog. He has not lived with a cat. Billy is good on and off the lead. He is quite greedy and is a little over-weight. He travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.

ELLIE

Ellie is an 11½ year old Black show type Cocker, whose owners have just had a baby and she is jealous. Prior to the baby arriving she was left home alone for long periods and she needs more company. Ellie has not lived with another dog or a cat, but seems to be OK with other dogs when walked by our dog walkers at kennels. She is good on and off the lead. She has a small fatty lump on her chest and has slight incontinence that is successfully controlled by medication.
