Poppy was spayed yesterday!!

Today.........what operation?.......can we go for a long walk and jump around?.....next 10 days are going to be fun, trying to keep her still and occupied!!

How did the 10 days go? My springer jem had an operation on her leg (tore it on barbed wire), she was supposed to stay calm whilst it healed! What a struggle that was, she was doing more damage staying on the lead than letting her off to have a sniff and chase birds.

Hi Amanda - thank you for enquiring about the patient. Well the 10 days are up.Neither the patient Poppy or her sister Winnie have been on a walk for 10 days!! Fortunately we have had lots going on at home to keep them occupied.I couldn't keep them quiet or calm for that long and Poppy even gently removed one of her stitches on day 9 , which she kindly brought to me to see - thankfully no harm was done.It was easier not to take them out rather than try and walk sensibly on the lead. We all went out this am for the first time and had the fastest run around ever - well , until tomorrow when we'll do it again - hope all well with you x
