Terms and conditions

Last updated 29 October 2026

These terms apply to anything you buy from the CAESSR online shop at caessr.org.uk/shop. Please read them before you order. Use of the rest of our website is covered by the terms and conditions on our main site. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Who we are

The shop is run by Cocker And English Springer Spaniel Rescue (CAESSR), a registered charity in England and Wales, number 1137589, of Wembley, Englesea Brook Lane, Englesea Brook, Crewe, Cheshire CW2 5QW. The charity is run entirely by volunteers, and every penny raised goes towards rescuing, caring for and rehoming Cocker and English Springer Spaniels. You can contact us about an order by email at claire@caessr.org.uk, quoting your order number.

Our products and prices

We sell our charity calendar and Christmas cards. The photographs show the real items as closely as we can, but colours may look slightly different on your screen. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. Postage and packing is charged per order and is shown in the basket and at the checkout before you pay. If we discover a pricing mistake after you have ordered, we will contact you and give you the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.

Ordering

When you place an order you are offering to buy the items. We will email you to acknowledge the order. The contract between us is made when we email you to say your order has been sent. We may decline an order, for example if an item has sold out or payment has not arrived, in which case we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.

Payment

You can pay by debit or credit card (processed by Stripe), by PayPal, or by bank transfer, as offered at the checkout. If you choose bank transfer, our account details are shown when you place the order and in your order email. Please use your order number as the payment reference. We hold bank transfer orders for seven days; if payment has not reached us by then, the order is cancelled. Orders are posted once payment has cleared.

Postage and delivery

We post to addresses in the United Kingdom only. Orders are sent by Royal Mail. We aim to post your order within seven days of receiving your order and payment. As we are volunteers, please allow a little longer at busy times. To be sure of delivery before Christmas, please order and pay by the end of the first week in December. If your order has not arrived within 20 working days of our dispatch email, please contact us and we will send a replacement or refund you. Our responsibility for a lost order is limited to the price you paid, including postage.

Changing your mind

You have the right to cancel your order for any reason up to 14 days after the day you receive it. To cancel, email us with your order number and we will tell you where to send any items back. If the order has not yet been posted, we will refund you in full. If it has, please return the items within 14 days of telling us, unused and in their original condition and packaging. You pay the return postage. We recommend a tracked or signed-for service, as we cannot refund items that do not reach us. We will refund the price you paid and the standard postage charge within 14 days of receiving the items back, to the payment method you used. We may reduce the refund if the items have been handled more than was needed to look at them.

Damaged or faulty items

If anything arrives damaged or faulty, email us within 30 days with a photograph and we will send a replacement or give you a full refund, including the cost of returning the item if we ask for it back. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, up to the price you paid for the order. We do not exclude or limit our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as postal strikes or severe weather, but we will keep you informed.

Your information

We use the details you give us to process your order, as explained in our privacy policy.

General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute can be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page when you order is the one that applies to your order. If you have a complaint, please email us and we will do our best to put it right.
