Dear Lynn and the team at CAESSR (Di, Ian, John and the Beech Boarding kennels),
a little note and attached pictures to let you know how Plum is settling in to her new home on the Isle of Man.
We are very lucky to have the chance to adopt such a lovely dog she is a credit to her original owner well trained good tempered and a joy to be with, each day she lets us in to her little routines such as hiding a treat for later, and talking quietly to us when in the car, she knows all the locations where dog treats and food is kept, keeping a watch just in case.
She has settled in well and on Friday we took her to a Peel to walk her on the beach, she loved meeting other dogs and investigated the tide rolling up the beach which was Ok until it washed around her feet, well a bark at the tide sorted it out and it rolled back down the beach.

Although the sea and travelling on a Ferry in a storm may have been new to her, she curled up on a blanket and between her adopted Mum and dad and slept for the 3.5 hour trip. When we arrived at our home she was off checking out each and every room starting upstairs, when this task was complete out to the garden for a wee and P—and to check it all - each and every corner - followed by a drink and a light breakfast.
Her front paddy paws were a little tender but this has been sorted using the tea-tree ointment supplier by her owner. Plum has adopted or claimed the bench in the kitchen with cushion, and of course her large bed is set up so all is well, more walks planned at different beaches, glens and plantations and she has met our family and the 3 grandsons who she climbed all over just to give then a good sniff and a lick oh and a poke at the cats.
Best regards to all

Hi Di,
Digby (was Kohi) has been with us nearly 6 weeks now and what a beautiful boy he is, so loving and affectionate albeit a little cheeky sometimes.
He had made himself very much at home and gets along with every dog we have met, especially our own dog.
I have just started agility training with him and I think he will be a star, very keen to learn, picks up things so quickly and always eager to please. I have explained to him that he isn’t a mountain goat with the way he climbs on the back of furniture and around your neck, and he is too big to be lap dog, snuggling as close as he can but his gorgeous personality and those big brown eyes lets him get away with some things!!
As you can probably guess, we couldn’t have wished for a better lad to join us and have become smitten already.
I have attached a photo of him with Tyler – we don’t have many photos as he doesn’t stay still for long! I have received the Pet Log confirmation re his microchip re-registration although nothing yet from the Kennel Club – I recall you saying that I may have to chase them; could you please let me know who to speak to and exactly what it is I am asking for.
Best wishes
Teresa

Dear Di and John
I wanted to write to you with regards to Alfie who you rehomed in November with a lovely lady Sue.
Not a day or minute goes by when I don't think of him but Sue so kindly sent a letter to say that he had settled in.
I am so very very grateful to her and yourselves for making sure that his future will be happy and secure.
I hope that Sue sees this letter and wish her and Alfie every happiness and hope that she might send further updates on their adventures together.
With fondest wishes
Lissa Xxx

He was grumbly yesterday having had the chop at the vets but has wolfed breakfast and dinner today so I think he will survive the indignity...
Will keep you posted with how he's getting on

Hi Ian and Di,
It does not seem as if nearly 2 months have passed since we adopted Oscar, to say that he has got his paws well and truly under the table (and on the sofa!) would be a
huge understatement. We and anyone who meets him cannot believe that he is 10 years old as his medical record says as he has so much energy when out in the fields and only has 1 speed which is flat out. No puddle, hedgerow or muddy patch is safe from being investigated by Oscar and we are accumulating an impressive collection of trophies that he brings back from a walk, footballs rescued from a nearby sports field are especially prized.
The only down side of having Oscar is that our water bill will be rocketing as he has to be hosed down after every outing at the moment, but Springers will be mud magnets and it is a small price to pay for such a loving dog. Photo attached to show just how much he has made himself at home, injury as a result of charging between a gate post and fence without paying attention to the barbed wire!
Thank you for your continued wonderful work and for matching us up with him.
Graham & Lyn
Hi Ian, All is good, hope you are good too?
Where to start...?
Dylan has developed so much over the last few months that he is now fully integrated into the family and pack of dogs that I go walking with. Initially he was challenging and had aggression towards myself and my wife and our other dog, especially around food and treats. He does not really understand praise and initially did not really appear to trust us, but he soon gained that, especially when he realised that he would always get fed and got into a routine.

Lots of perseverance was required, and there were some long weeks when we thought that we would not be able to change his behaviours, however, trying lots of different training methods, squeaky toys and long walks seem to have helped him to turn a corner. He is now such a loving dog and loves nothing better that shuffling up and rolling over for a tummy rub. He is such a cheeky boy, and loves teasing the other dogs by running off with their balls on walks and getting a lot of fuss from other walkers. We couldn't imagine life without him now and he has a new best friend in our other dog, Ruby.
Cheers
Dave
Hi,
Just want to thank you all at Caesar and especially Di for rehoming Woody for us, you made a very heartbreaking situation a little better knowing you would find Woody a loving home.
An even bigger thank you to woody's new owner Sarah, you are an amazing person with a lovely heart for giving Woody a home and for updating us and letting us know that he has settled in just fine.
The photos made us very happy and smile, knowing he is loved makes loosing him a little more bearable (& you let him sleep on the sofa)
Thank you again for the update, seeing my little girls (Freya)face when she saw the photos of Woody was just lovely.
Please can you forward this to Woody's new owner Sarah.
Many Thanks
Rachael
