Hi all,
All good here.
Update on Davut….where do I start!
He is a joy, everyone loves him, from grandkids to strangers on our daily walk. Sitting beside me now, half on my lap,
ready to remind me that his dinner is due in 25 minutes and 10 seconds, don’t need a clock in the house.
Not so reliant on his yellow ball, with the bell inside, so much nowadays and trusting enough to be let off the lead on a grass field during his walk.
The recent covering of snow did confuse him a little, don’t think he ever experienced snow before, having only been in the UK a couple of years, after being rescued in Turkey.
People usually say that he is lucky to have us, but we are convinced it’s the other way round.
Keep up the good work.
Jim, Clare and Davut
Roxy (13 ish!) & Skye (10) came into our care on a temporary basis in Spring’23 when their owner was too ill to care for them. We spent time grooming, walking and entertaining them and ensuring they received regular health check-ups...and falling a little bit in love with them! The plan was for them to go back to their owner once she waswell enough to care for them. Sadly, just as they were due to go back home, their owner passed away.
Roxy and Skye were formally relinquished to CAESSR and we immediately set about looking for the perfect retirement home for them both. We were delighted when we were able to place them in a great home, with acres of land to explore and a family who would adore them. Renamed Sprout (Roxy) and Berry (Skye) they have been on many adventures and even had birthday parties!

Last week Sprout crossed Rainbow Bridge aged 14. We are all heart broken, but so incredibly grateful that she was able to have a retirement that we could only have ever dreamed of!
Sprout’s family sent us this message: We wanted to thank you for giving us the opportunity to love her these past 18 months. I promise she had the best retirement a spaniel could hope for (though she would probably disagree with our definition of 'that's enough treats'!!). She was a little spaniel with a huge personality and we, Berry, and our wider family, all really miss her.
Thanks,
Hayley

Today is my Molly’s 3 month GOTCHA day. Molly has turned our world upside down and rules the roost. Molly has so much love to give and gets as much love back. I lost my much loved Leo also adopted from CAESSR on August the 4th 2025. I wanted another to adopt so I got in touch with CAESSR. And here we are with Molly. Thank you to Emma, Karen and John for being the best. I learnt by adopting that you gain a loyal companion, often with deep gratitude, while supporting a good cause.
