Hi all at CAESSR,

After nearly 2 years Charlie and Aled are still great friends and giving us a lot of enjoyment (and exercise).

Attached is a photo of them on the beach at Alvor on the Algarve. They have been with us in a motor home for 3 months travelling around Spain and Portugal.

Regards

John

Dear Di, Ian and John

Thanks for your email asking about Milly.

Four weeks have passed and I am happy to say that she has settled in beautifully and has already become a much loved member of our family. She is firm friends with our other two dogs and regularly sleeps in the same bed as our elderly Springer, even though she has her own comfy new bed.

Milly is delightful, she is very intelligent, eager to please, full of fun and has a very biddable temperament - she is a credit to her original owner. We are training her to the whistle for recall and are having some success but it's early days.

Milly has already been to the beach at Lytham St Annes which she loved (more trips are planned) and enjoys plenty of walks in the Ribble Valley where we live. When she is a little older and can cope with longer more strenuous walks she will join us on our Lake District and Yorkshire Dales walks. We will soon be kitting her out with her very own doggie life jacket so she can come sailing with us. Our 3 grandchildren are enjoying being with her and she's happy to be around them.

Thank you so much for considering us for Milly and giving us the opportunity to adopt her. She has fitted in perfectly and if you are in contact with Milly’s original owner(s) we would like to put their minds at rest that she is happy and settled. A couple of photographs are attached.

Thank you again and very best wishes.

Hi Ian and Di

Just a quick update on Toby, he is doing really well and is now 17.5 kg which is great. We visited our vets last week and it turns out had another eye infection which he has been treated for. Apart from this, the vet is very pleased with him.

Toby is continuing to settle in well and is gaining confidence in his surroundings everyday. He's already made friends on our walks which he loves although when he has had enough, he will turn round to walk home regardless of which direction you want to go in! Attached is another photo of him in his favourite position obviously with orange mouse who no longer has a nose, a tail and has lost an ear (don't worry he didn't eat them, just had a good chew!).

Will keep you updated

Best wishes

Ronnie

Hi Ian, Di

Good to speak to you Di, as you can see Toby is really settling in and is such a happy dog. Absolutely love him to bits. He has a basket full of toys but orange mouse is his favourite and he takes it everywhere with him. He is walking very well on a halti, has remembered all of his house training although I have to go outside with him when he wants the bathroom. I think he is worried he will be locked out but with some patience and reassurance I am sure he will be ok in time.

I'll keep you updated but rest assured he is loved and will be well looked after and spoilt rotten!

Thank you so much for letting me adopt him.

Regards

Ronnie

Dear Ian

Many thanks for posting my email and pics. We are pleased that Kay and Katy have seen the email and as Bella and Oscar have been with us for over 4 weeks we thought we should give an update. They are both very well and all four of us are loosing a bit of weight ! They both love playing out in the garden with the occasional swim in the pond too and it seems Bella quite likes gardening !

We think she should continue with the mental stimulation which she clearly enjoys and so she will be starting training classes in March. Oscar continues to be a cuddly teddy bear who just loves his walks and cuddles !

I attach a few more pics, unfortunately my camera won't cope with them at full speed in the forest I just get two blurs !

Best wishes

Caroline and Paul
