Hi Di and Ian,

Belle here. This is me after my first visit to Lucy's grooming parlour. She took great care of me and was very nice. Everyone says I look lovely.

Been to beach already on a nice sunny day. My mum had hoped to have some pictures of me enjoying the snow but we had very little this winter.

It's great to see all the Spaniels finding the new homes they deserve.

Hope Mabel and George are still doing well,

Love Belle, Ros and Brian.

Hi Ian/Di,

Just a little update on Poppy, she is getting on great! Her and Vincent seem to have bonded as brother and sister and Poppy seems to be getting more settled each day. She is the perfect fit for our home.

Attached are a couple of pictures of Poppy and Vincent.

Kind Regards,

Chris

Hi John,

I have been meaning to send an update about Alfie for a while but have been ploughing through Shirl's papers etc. and have not got around to it.

Thank-you so much for your help, both in taking him back and in releasing him back in to my care.

Alfie is fine at the moment, he did manage to rip a dew claw which the vet bandaged up. Once the bandage came off however he refused to let me put anything else on it, or wash it, so we were walking up and down the lane for ten days while it healed, which was very boring.

He is still a mixture of naughty and nice but we are getting a routine together and I am now much more fit which means he generally doesn't have to wear a halti. unless he is being very mad, as he was today when we went for a walk through Dovedale. Too much water, too many smells and far too many people!

He is a great companion though and I am glad I got him back. I just hope I can continue to look after him for the next few years so he doesn't need to go back in to kennels!

The next thing now is to get the caravan back out on the road. It obviously won't be the same without Shirley but I have to get on with it I suppose.

All the very best to you, and thank-you again,

Rob

Hello from across the channel.

Been on our walks despite the weather, not putting Jamie off, and before I could finish the sentence it will be too cold for (SPLASH !!) him to go in the lake - I rest my case! Unfortunately I didn't have the camera with me.

We have reduced his daily amount of food as he was getting a bit rotund but we know he has his own views on this. Not too happy with this idea.

Will be in touch with more news later in the year. Hope all is well with you all.

Hi All,

Alfie has been with us just over a year now and is definitely a big part of our family. He is enjoying the rural life and loves to run in the woods with Angus.

Here he is with his new brother Angus and a friends dog, Kayla.

And finally, looking a little wet after a paddle at the beach while on holiday in Caithness.

Kind Regards
Brian and Louise

Dear Di,

We are the happy new parents of Rocky and Lola.

Firstly I have to say how lucky and privileged we are to be part of their lives. They must have had a wonderful start to life. They are beautifully polite, kind and well trained. A credit to their previous family.

They have had a baptism of fire into their new life, long car journeys, meeting the grand parents, horses, a lorry (horsebox) trip, an evening at the local, and snuggles on the sofa.. they have coped with it brilliantly. Rocky has taken it all in his stride, although random socks have gone missing. Lola has frowned, thought about it and chatted (snuffly noises) about it but seems to be realising it’s all going to be fun.

Thank you CAESSR for putting us together.

Kindest regards

Cath and Martyn

Hi all, update on Bob (was Chewie),

BobWe can see why people would take him as "nasty" if you are not wise to dogs with issues. He has done a lot in a very short time and had his world turned upside down with each move. He now runs off lead with the girls and he just loves it. He can not understand that if he kept quiet he could run faster!

We feel sure that he is not pure Cocker Spaniel. We think he is crossed with a Nova Scotia Duck Toller but with that cross watch out ducks! As you can see by the picture he does not bother with the parrot.

Hi

Charlie 5Just an update on Marley ( now called Charlie ) x He is doing fantastic, He is was neautered the first week we had him. He has calmed down a lot and we have had no barking/howling.

He is great friend with our other Cocker Rosie who keeps him in check lol. Charlie is such a loving boy just wants to please all the time. We all love cuddles together.

Thanks to everyone who made it possible for us to have Charlie in our family he is so clever and learns new commands quickly.

ear All

Polly has really settled in and has changed our lives completely basically she rules the roost. She has recently had a urine infection... have you ever tried to collect a urine same from a female dog!!!! As you can see she has various toys including a £10 note!!! she pulled out of the housekeeping tin.

Polly 3 Polly 4 Polly 5

She is doing well in training by us click and treat which she loves. She can now walk without a lead from the house to shed and back... but of-course with my shoe in her mouth. We took her up to Coaley peak yesterday and let her off the lead and she went running about but when we whistled she came back ( with her beloved snowman in her mouth.

Thank you so much for letting us give her a home. She has had her first haircut pictures to follow but attached a few so you can see that she is happy and well cared for.

Love and God Bless

Mike, Joyce and Polly
