Hi,

Just thought I would sent you an update on Leo, he is enjoying his walks through the woods with lots of smells and rabbit/badger holes to put his nose down, love ball play and seeking out hidden treats and toys.

We are working on accepting other dogs getting close, but he really doesn’t want other dogs around or to play with, just me plus anyone else who will throw the ball. He will play fetch along side other same minded dogs, case of don’t touch mine i won’t touch yours. so we do have some socialising.

His coat has come on really well, with the extra padding on his tail we have fewer bleeds now when he excitedly wags and bashes it. but I gather that is a spaniel thing.

I hope you are all keeping well, again a big thank you for all the work you do, if it wasn’t for you all I would have such a fabulous faithful friend.

THANK YOU ALL

Trevor.

Hi to all at Caessr,

Just to update that Tess has now been part of our family for 2 years and is a real character! She does now pinch socks and slippers and likes to play in a cheeky way!

She's definitely top dog but is much loved, I've attached a recent picture after her visit to the beauty parlou.

Evening Di,

Just thought i would let you know how Daisy is settling in. So far we have had no real problems with her and she has made herself quite at home, but she is not allowed on the furniture!!!. We have had her to the vets, she knew where she was and didn`t like it. Daisy enjoys her walks around the lanes but as yet we have not let her off the lead, as we need to be sure of her recall first. When we return home she gets a run around the garden, then a brush and comb and her feet wiped which she doesn`t seem to sure of, but improves as the days go by.

Also whilst at the vets we were advised that Daisy should loose some weight from 13:4 to about 10 Kgs so she is now on a diet and no tit bits!!!

Daisy is very friendly with the rest of our family and friends who visit and she really lets us know if someone comes to the door or rings the doorbell.

We are all getting on very well and now have a settled routine.

Well Di thats about all, just to say thankyou to you and your team for all the help that you have given us.

With Best Wishes

Alan & Christine.

Hi Di and Ian

Well it will be 6 weeks since Toby joined the family, it feels like he had been here forever. I am very lucky to have been matched with such a joyful, loving, well mannered and beautiful dog. Toby is such a delight to be around, he loves his walks (and tennis balls), is off lead now and has great recall, all the other dogs and humans we meet on our walks love him and can't believe he is nearly 10.

He had been to the groomers and got 92% in his behavioural test, the groomer said he was one of his top 3 dogs!

Toby is very much one of the family and I can't imagine not having him around, he is so loved by myself and my parents and is obviously being spoilt rotten! A couple of pictures attached showing his spring look!

Regards

Ronnie

Dear John

Arnie here, I am writing to let you know that I arrived at my new home OK I was shown the garden-its fantastic I run & run around the paths after the birds and cats. I have fallen into the pond after frogs it wasn't that bad

My new owner makes a lot of fuss I love being fussed on her lap. I also go to bed with her.

I feel I'm in charge after three weeks I am into a routine AM short walk PM long walks and a run around the garden after I have asked to go out. I found a Hedgehog last week I went mad my new owner don't like me worrying the hedgehog she got cross with me so I thought better go inside.

I saw the vet last week but I wouldn't let him give me an injection or look in my ears Ive had another lot of medicine every thing's OK now.

Well must finish now just returned from my walk I would love to get in the canal after the ducks but Joyce Wont let me. Ah well, any thing for a perfect home life. I've been lucky I'd hate to leave her now. I love my new owner she loves me - we get on fine

Bye for now

Arnie

Hi John

Well, what can I say? He really is a lovely dog, we had a good journey home which was great although he was quite manic when we got back - ate 2 lots of bedding and 3 balls and was just about to start on the 3rd lot of bedding when we moved it! But he was absolutely fine overnight, we are going out for shorter walks but more often at the moment and of course the mandatory ball game in the back garden. He seems to be enjoying his walks but of course he is on a lead at the moment and regularly gets tied up in the hawthorn. However he does have a problem with other dogs - all of them in fact, if they don't make any attempt to come up to him he is fine but if they do he is aggressive, so some work to do there. Hopefully though when he can also go off lead that might make a difference.

We registered him at the vets yesterday and he is, as you already know, underweight but the vet said keep him on the same food for a month but increase it and then he will review it. We are aiming for an extra 5kg so we will see how it goes.

So we are hopeful he will settle in well and enjoy some great times in the Derbyshire Dales etc. Will keep you posted of course - photo attached of him in the dining room yesterday looking quite relaxed.

All the best and thanks to all of you for organising for him to come to us.

Hi John,

Just to give you an update on Rocco, who we re-homed in October.

Rocco settled in very quickly and managed to become fully house trained within a fortnight. Rocco is an absolute delight, very loving and affectionate, with his own distinct character. We are having a few issues with separation, which are being addressed with training. Rocco celebrated Christmas and his 3rd birthday with us, and was obviously very spoilt!

After the devastating loss, earlier last year, of our beloved Cocker Spaniel Billy, Rocco has given us so much love and has really made the house feel like a home again.

Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt this beautiful boy, we are truly thankful. Enjoy some of the pictures of him in his new home.

Best wishes,

Teresa, Ian, Georgia and Jess.

Dear Di

I have just seen the letter that Sue has sent about little Alfie.

It is so wonderful to see him all grown up and obviously so very happy in his new life.

I would just like to say to Sue that I think she is wonderful and I know that I can feel easier with the decision I had to make. with much love to you all and Alfie.

I would be so grateful if you could print this letter so that Sue knows how very grateful I am to her.

Hi there,

A quick update... We've had Jimbob for 7 weeks now and he is doing really well. We went to the beach over Easter and he loved it! He's found his bark and honks like a seal when he's excited to go out! We are so pleased that he's settled in well and seems to be enjoying himself. Here are a couple of pictures.

Dear All at CAESSR

Just an update to show you some pictures of how 'grown up' I am getting. Yep 1 year old this month and looking forward to my party consisting of lots of treats, cuddles and kisses and best of all my long run off the lead to swim and generally get muddy whenever given the opportunity. People continue to make a fuss as I sit on the Stern watching the world go by and those ducks and swans making a noise around the boat so mum will feed them, I am tempted to play but told to sit and leave alone and as I am a good boy I do as I am told.......

I never know where I will be taken next! Been out cruising the canals and have great fun running up and down the tow path, stayed in hotels by the sea for weekends, and have the advantage of digging up plants in a garden on occasions.

I had to share my boat with a couple of misfits this Easter, wore me out they did running around, wanting lots of attention and not allowing my daily naps, phew.... thank goodness mum sent them home. Catch you all again later in the year.

Alfie

To all at CAESSR

Thank you ever so much for letting us re-home Alfie. We have now had Alfie for just over a week now and he seams to be settling nicely. He is getting on well with our springer Zac, they tend to sleep next to each other. Alfie loves his walks on the chase and around Stafford castle, he is always off exploring the undergrowth, we'll have him slimmed down in no time with all the walks he's getting.

He has a few naughty habits but is a very quick learner which is making training him quiet easy. He's also had a hair cut and is now looking very smart.

I've enclosed a few photos so you can see his progress.

We'll keep you updated with his progress.
