Dear Di
Thought you might like to see and hear how Oscar is getting on.
He has settled in a treat with us I am pleased to report! He has been exploring the local area and came camping with us this week in the Malverns.

He loves being off the lead but is a total pain in it so we are going to be having some training to try and conquer that.
Vet has checked him and he has been groomed and clipped.
We all love him to bits. Thank you for sending him our way!!
Beckie
I thought I'd share a picture of our tripawd, Dewi, we adopted from you almost four years ago.
Thank you for sticking with the little guy and getting him all the vet care he needed before finding himself with us. You wouldn't know he's only got three legs as he bombs around at lightening speed!
We keep in touch with the lady who fostered him as she fell for his soppy ways as we did :)
Thank you again for out lovely boy. Here he is with his big brother and doggy friend.

To everyone at CAESSR.
Thought I would let you know how Alfie is. I have had him for 18 months now and he is very well and I think happy. We go for three or, sometimes, four walks a day, not always long ones, but fairly active. We are off to the seaside again in June. He loves the beach and water like most spaniels.
Thank you again for letting me give this lovely dog a home. He is so good and well behaved. I can't believe I could be so lucky to own him. You are doing a great job.
Thanks again.
Shirley
Hi to everyone at Caessr
An update on Jamie (formerly Benji) and now having 2 other names being Billy 'cos he's sooooo silly and Tea Leaf as he is such a thief. Graduating from the mundane socks, cardboard inners of toilet/kitchen rolls, egg boxes and veggies from the rack to my thermal gloves back in the winter months taken from my handbag, suet balls for the wild birds from the garage which he is burying, to balls of wool taken from my knitting bag; mainly unused ones but sometimes what I've been working on complete with needles still intact. Luckily no stitches were lost otherwise he'd be on a course for knit one, purl one!
Flyball has stopped as the owner of the club had to relocate to be near her parents. We are now attending agility classes (I know - was easy when I did it years ago!) but due to weather conditions and us going to France often, are unable to go to all sessions so I have devised a small course at home of obstacles Jamie didn't like to do and he is improving with these.
Here are some pic's of him after my hard work.

Day 1. Does he look interested? Is he worn out looking at what he is expected to do? Answers on a post card, please.

Day 2. I think this is called walking the course.
They are lightweight and easily transportable to be re-assembled when we arrive in Normandy end of June for 2 months. He will have plenty of practise over there and our neighbour's dogs will look on enviously. I may arrange a French/English competition.
Can't believe it will be 2 years in July we collected Jamie from Stoke on Trent. He is the most adorable dog, so giving in love and companionship with his ever wagging tail and grin and his soft brown eyes speaks volumes. He loves his walks in the forest or on the streets and dives into muddy puddles, ditches, brambles and chases anything that moves within his eyes or ears. We haven't yet taken him to a river or sea but no doubt, he will accept the challenge without fear. We are so happy with how things have turned out rehoming Jamie, being our first rescue spaniel, and hope other people will be as lucky and enjoy life with their choices and that previous owners will be content to know there is a rainbow at the end. To Teresa & Des, we love him and a big thank you.
To Caessr, many thanks for helping people in need whether giving up a loved one or taking on a new addition in their lives.
Best regards
Jennifer, Joseph & Jamie
Hi Ian and Di,
We have had Izzy living with us for just two weeks today. She is an absolute delight. She is so sweet natured and gentle and so calm for a two year old. She loves her walks through the fields and woods but is always more than happy to have a cuddle at any time of the day. She is content to be stroked by toddlers and has brought comfort to a 91 year old too.
She is a credit to her previous family who obviously trained her well and reared a very well balanced dog. Please let them know we will take very good care of her.

Hi Di
Tilly is doing well and is now totally comfortable in our home environment and holiday home environment.
She was not to sure of the sea, but she did get to the edge of the water last w/e by following Lucy and she had a paddle.
I attach a photo of Lucy after the tide had gone out. She obviously enjoyed herself.

Hello Di,
I adopted Millie, a 7 year old blue roan cocker from you at the beginning of February. I am so thrilled with her as she is really lovely dog and has settled well. She is such a character! Millie is enjoying her walks off lead. She loves it when my friends visit and travels well in the car when going to visit them. She has adapted well to my "upside down house" and likes to run up the stairs. She sits on the window ledge to see what's happening outside.
Many thanks for finding me such a lovely companion.
Margaret
Ian,
Star has been amazingly camera shy, but this photo was taken by a friend when she wasnt looking.
Star is very loved, and runs the house. My husband Jon centres his day around her. I take him a cup of tea when I go out to work in the morning, and Star joins him for a snooze, before they get up, go out for a walk, and then seemingly play all day until I come home again. It's then my time to cuddle up to Star on the sofa.
We are a very happy household, and very glad to have Star with us. I hope you can pass on our best wishes to her first owner, and she is comfortable that Star is being properly cared for.
Love

Just to update you on Chance's progress. He has settled in extremely well, loving his long walks chasing after his ball and wading through any available water!
He is a lovely dog who enjoys meeting other dogs and people in particular my 3 year old grandson who adores him. It is obvious he was well brought up as he is very obedient to recall and commands. If you are in touch with his previous owner please thank him so much it must have been extremely hard to part with him.
Chance was definitely the right dog for us, we can't imagine life without him now.
Thanks to your organisation for your help.
Mary, Ray and Chance
Dear John, Dianne & Llynn,
Thought it was time to give you an update on Fudge's new home in North Wales. Fudge has really settled in well with the family and her new surroundings. Health wise Fudge has now had all her injections and yesterday we were back at the Vet Hospital, Stoke on Trent where Fudge is booked in for the op on her right eye which has started to slightly turned in again but we have been reassured that she is old enough now, she is certainly strong enough!!! This will be a week Friday.
Fudge loves the garden and play, the kids spend hours with her throwing ball and chasing but when it's sleep time nothing wakes her until she's ready.
Monday see's Fudge starting normal Puppy training although she is already sitting, waiting and shaking paws.and at present doing recall on her terms!!! Fudge is great with other dogs and very friendly which is a good sign for her future assessments. Mouthing when she gets excited is still an issue but is becoming less with time which is only to be expected with a puppy. Fudge is sleeping through the night in her crate and is toilet trained with only the odd accident which is usually our fault and not Fudge's.
In relation to Fudge starting mountain training we need to wait for her joints to become stronger and more formed so she is currently enjoying regular family walks through the local woods and country paths.
Thank you again for finding us such a beautiful Cocker she is such a good fit to our family.
Kind Regards
Jason, Helen, Anna and Owen
Hi John,

Just to let you know, Rex is settling in really well. He's walked three times a day and loves playing with his tugger toy! We love him lots.
Thank you so much and we hope all the other dogs get homes soon.
Lenore
Dear John and Di
Lindy came to live with us only seven months ago but, in a good way, it feels much longer. She has a delightful personality and regards everyone - dog or human - as her best friend. She is ruled by her stomach and will eat absolutely anything so has to be watched carefully. Even bird seed that falls from the feeders is fair game.

In February she had three mammary tumours removed one of which proved to be malignant but fortunately the lab reports showed that the margins were clear. She has made a full recovery and I thought you might like to see a couple of pictures of her on our first holiday together.
Many thanks for rehoming this bundle of fun with us.

5th May is Spike's "Gotcha Day" - 3 years since we brought him home!
Where did they go.
Spike is a comedian true to his name, he is also loving, respectful to the Dex and Jack our older dogs, pretty obedient for a Cocker, loyal and amusing.
It was a rocky road when we first brought him home but he has come to trust us. I still would not leave him in my pet food store - but that's a minor detail!
Thank you everyone at CAESSR for our wonderful
Spike. xxx
