Hi John

we rehomed Toby on the 2nd June, we thought we knew what we were taking on - wrong. Having said that we wouldn't be without him. He has taken us on lots of walks - like Chatsworth - where his love for sheep poo became apparent! He still has a few issues (we are working on them) but he can be off the lead for a good run if there aren't too many distractions - people, other dogs etc. Everybody he meets wants to play with him and they all say how beautiful he is and what lovely long eye lashes he has. He has settled in well and met several doggy friends but his favourite is Jess, a 10 month old springer who he looks for every time we go for a walk.

It was nice to meet you and Ann and keep up the good work in giving dogs a second chance.

Best wishes

Hello Di and Ian.

Hope you are well. This is me on my 7th birthday today with my ginormous new toy to add to my large collection. I have now had 2 fantastic busy years with my new Mum and Dad. We have been on holiday again near beach and have lots of outing and visiting friends. Everyone I meet seem to love me and say how well behaved I am-as long as there are no yappy dogs that need putting in their place!!

Hope George is ok and thank you for finding me and all the other dogs lovely homes.

Love Belle,
Ros and Brian.

Hi Ian

Please find attached - picture of wonderful Basil who we adopted from " CAESSR " almost three years ago!

The pic was taken on one of Basil's many holidays in Pembrokeshire. He just loves it there!

He will be thirteen years young tomorrow & still enjoying life to the full!

He is simply the most adorable doggy that you could wish for! Everyone he meets falls in love with him!

I still remember the description of him on the site as "He just loves to be with his humans" & that's an understatement! He adores everyone he meets & everyone he meets loves him!!

Thank you CAESSR for letting Basil into our lives!

Read the latest update about Keri who was owned by ourselves.

Since April when we made the decision to give her up we have been very anxious for news of her and reading about her has been very good news.

I wish to thank you all for your wonderful work and a great thanks to Keri’s new owners for their kindness in taking Keri on. She will never disappoint you and will always be in our thoughts. I now know that she is now well looked after and loved as much as we loved her even through the difficult time we had that last year. Thank you again.

Hi Di

Just a quick email from Rich and I to say thank you so so much for rehoming Charlie for us! We have seen the letter and pictures the new owners sent on the website and Charlie looks so at home with his new little puppy pals!!

It was a very hard time for us having to give up Charlie but knowing that he has been looked after so well and has a new home where he can thrive is just lovely and so heart-warming!

Hopefully one day when circumstances are different we will be able to have a cocker again, as we absolutely love them!!

Best wishes

Hi Di, Ian John & team

I am sorry it has taken so long for me to contact you. I have been going on days out with Keri and it is such a pleasure to have a dog who travels so well in the car.

I would like to take the time to thank Keri's previous owners for letting Keri go when they did, it must have been such a hard decision, and I would like to reassure them that she is being loved and cared for in her new home. I would also like to thank the CAESSR team for allowing myself and family to adopt her.

I feel very privileged as Keri is an absolute pleasure to own and is curled up on the settee next to me as I type this. She is as her previous owners mentioned very willing to please and is so easy to love. She is sweet, gentle, well mannered and is loving all the attention she deserves.

She has settled in really well, it took a month or so for Keri to accept Tia our elderly cat isn't a toy. The first time they met Tia ran and Keri thought she was fair game which is understandable. They now seem to accept each other but I wouldn't go so far as saying they are the best of friends.

We don't have the half acre garden that Keri has been used to but she has fallen into the routine of going for regular walks where she can sniff to her hearts content. She is such a happy dog and is constantly wagging and engages well with other dogs/owners that she meets on route. She has a lot of energy for a 9 year old dog and often acts like a puppy.

I have tried to train her to come when called which went ok on her extended lead but on the first attempt off the lead she became a little distracted by a squirrel and the attempt went to pot and has been marked down as an experience. So this is still a work in progress.

Her babies (soft toys) have been reinstated and anyone who comes to the door has to be greeted with one of them. She still likes to greet people who come to the door with a bark, which sounds more like a hound than a little cocker, but when asked to shush she does. The only problem is the milk man comes 4.30am and she feels the need to greet him:-).

I am having trouble attaching a photo but please leave that with me, photos will follow.

With kind regards and appreciation.

Tanya

Dear Di,

As promised here are some pictures of Tessa taken over the last few days.

Tessa is settling in well and is adored by us all including our grand children.
Please pass our thanks to her previous owners and reassure them that she is in a "good place" and seems to be enjoying her new surroundings here in the North East.
Best Wishes
John and Barbara
