Hi John

Meg (was Sky ) has been with us now for 18 months and she has come on in leaps and bounds. She has put on 3.5 kg which she needed as she was so underweight when we adopted her, our vet is really pleased with the progress that she has made.

The original pictures we sent into you last year did show Meg with her skinhead cut as it was the only way to get rid of all the knots in her fur when we first took her on, so I have added a selection that shows her now in all her glory.

Alfie our other Rescue cocker spaniel and Meg are inseparable and keep me and my husband very busy. The two of them certainly get a lot of attention from the public especially Meg as she considers everyone her new best friend. I make sure that all the people we meet know where we adopted Meg from and all the great work that you guys do.

Many thanks for letting us adopt out little Meg

Hi Di,

Apologies for the delay, please find attached some pictures of Dexter, as you will see, we had him clipped, he is half the size he was before!

He has settled in very well, and his confidence is now growing to the point we are able to let him off the lead.

He is not keen on people, but loves other dogs. We took him on a very long walk on Monday (6 Miles), he was a very tired little boy by the evening!

He is responding to his name and has learnt sit and is showing interest in chasing a ball and returning it.

Our puppy training class starts this evening so it will be helpful to have their guidance.

Regards

Hi John / Di

Just to let you all know that Molly has settled in really well. She has been with us 3 months now and it feels like we have had her forever.

She has just enjoyed 2 weeks holiday in Scotland and she loved running in the forests and her other favourite pass time swimming in the sea or splashing around in any muddy puddle or stream she could find.

She really is a very sweet girl and we feel privileged to have her.

Thank you

Diane & Bob

Hi everyone

Just to update you on Max he took part in his first flyball competition with my daughter Ella this weekend and he and his team came second. He loved every minute of it.

Best wishes.

Hi John,

Mia is adorable and has settled in so quickly its as though she's lived with us for a lot longer.

She slept soundly last night without a whimper; amazing for a rescue, she's a female version of our beloved Monty!!

Hi John, Di and All,

Sorry to have taken my time in reporting back on the progress of Amazing Archie.

He fitted in straight away adopting all of the cubby holes used by past dogs and friendly with all new comers, human or canine - he's a really lovely, loving, active hyper alert little fella.

He's really well behaved and responds to commands on and off the lead - he's friendly and sociable with all he meets.

He's excellently house trained and if he has any odd quirk it's only his habit of pulling beading and drying cloths around with him - not a problem, so much as a cry for canine companionship for which he's ideally suited. So it looks like we'll try to find him a friend sooner rather than later - most probably a Spaniel bitch of around the same weight of 17.5Kg and age, on Archie's approval.

Thanks to all again for such a wonderful little companion.

Hi Ian, Di & John,

It’s been exactly a year now since you found me my forever home so I thought I’d give you a little update.

I’ve settled in really well here with Jacqui, Steve and my little step sister Saphie (I can’t bear to be apart from her for long). We go for walks around a nearby lake every morning, I usually have a swim and chase a few ducks and end up covered in sticky bobs, it takes Dad hours to get rid of them. Then we go for a long walk in the afternoon, often with a stop at the pub on the way back where I get lots of fusses! Over Winter we had lots of snow which I loved playing in, then this Summer we went on holiday to Northumberland and went on a boat to the Farne Islands to look at birds and seals. I’ve never seen so many birds in one place before but Mum wouldn’t let me get off and chase them. We spent lots of time running along the deserted beaches and playing in the surf, although the North Sea was a bit chilly, brr….

I’ve done a beginners course in agility already where I got a highly commended rosette and certificate (get me!) and next week I’ll be finishing my intermediate course. I love it, although the collapsible tunnel does scare me sometimes. Mum & Dad have even set a course up for me in the garden. We’ve also been to a few gun dog shows this year, Saphie has had a go at the scurry but I normally just watch and take it all in.

I get lots of cuddles here and know exactly how to wrap Mum & Dad around my paw. Thank you for finding me my forever home. Oh, if my brother Dock has any update for here, I’d love to see what you’re up to now.

Hi Di,

Bonnie is doing absolutely fine! She is gorgeous and everything we were hoping for and then some more. Thank you so much for letting us have her.

She's settled in so well, it feels as if we have had her for years. We are still finding out things and having to work on things here and there as we go, as we expected, but she is a very quick learner. Already she has been out working all over the land with us and has been out with us and the horses, but so far, only with me on foot, just in case. But so far so good and I would be surprised if she isn't out and about with us properly before too long.

We had a spur of the moment couple of days away last week and took her with us, so she enjoyed herself on the beach and in the sea swimming and was right at home in the caravan, barking at all the dogs going past :)

Many thanks again & hope you are well.
