Hi Di and Ian,
Sam is settling in really well. He is a lovely sociable dog. He likes a lot of fuss and attention and loves coming out in the car with us. He was unsettled the first few nights but he's settling better now. We've discovered he loves water and chasing birds and his ball is his best friend.

We would like to know if he is kennel club registered as we would like to trace his ancestry. We are really pleased that we are able to give him a forever home. We have enclosed some photos as Di requested

Hi Ian
Scarlett has now settled very well thank you and is much loved member of our family. When we initially got her home she had severe separation anxiety if she could not see us and got very distressed. We moved a mattress downstairs for one of us to sleep on night times and it was a very gradual process to get where we are now with her sleeping shut in the kitchen area with our other dog.

It was evident that Scarlett was not as socialised as we were led to believe and this is still an ongoing process which hasn’t been helped by lockdown. She was frightened of everything - pushchairs, bikes, children, people and other dogs, despite being told she lived with 4 others.
My wife and I feel that the details you were given about Scarlett were not accurate but that said, none of it is her fault and we are willing to give her the time and love to ensure she is happy. She gives the best cuddles, loves her walks and no one is more pleased to see us every morning. She is a beautiful dog and has found her forever home.
Best wishes
David and Amanda
Dear C&ESSR
DJ - Progress letter.
DJ has moved to a rural home in Norfolk, where loves exploring the countryside and having lots of woodland walks. DJ loves running and exploring in his owners paddocks with the ponies and has had lots of fun helping with the hay making. He loves the sheep in the next field as well.
We are very impressed by his lovely nature, his manners and his willingness to please. His recall is coming on so well we do call him DJ and use the whistle and he comes back to us quickly.

We have put DJ on a diet - full of goodness but a bit like weight watchers - to help him loose some excess fat and of course his increased exercise is helping. He has been to see the vet who was very pleased with him. We are mindful of his front legs with his short ulna syndrome.
DJ is a funny friendly and extremely happy and easy-going dog, he has settled here well. He loves to go out in the car and he has been to the sea -side and loved running along the beach.
He plays with the toys you sent with him and after reading your letter to us you summed him up so well, especially the nose diving along the rug and chasing his tail.
Please don’t worry as he is very settled and seems to be very happy in his new surroundings. We hope our letter and pictures make you feel happy, and know you did the right thing in ensuring he went to a new caring and suitable home via C&ESSR.
THANK YOU
Amanda and Dave
Hi Ian.
Halle is doing famously, we walk her in the new forest every day, around 3.5 miles. She has settled in very well. In fact, she is an absolute delight. Since the easing of lockdown we have taken her with us on ourfirst caravan trip, and have at least 3 more trips to go and she seems to absolutely love being with us when away.

Our grandchildren adore her, and she loves spending time with them. Also, our daughters cannot believe how easy she is to take for a walk. We really love and would not change her for the world.
Hope you enjoy the photos.
