Hi John

I can't believe we have only had Pippa for 2 weeks. I believe we were her third home and she was only 20 weeks old.She has obviously been well loved in her short life and she is now giving us so much pleasure.

Walking her around the village takes ages as everyone stops to admire 'the new kid on the block'. She loves playing with her toys- the louder the squeak the better. She is a bright girl and it is fascinating to watch her 'hide' her chew ie stuff it down the sofa then cover it up with the throw.

Thank you so much for all the brilliant work you do at CAESSR- you are doing a great job.

Hi John

Although a little later than promised ... This is Max out on his daily walk. He has settled so well, it's like he has always been with us. He really loves his daily walks, or should I say runs! He loves the weekend walks, as this means a possible paddle in the river and hide and seek in the willow trees with our daughter! His recall is really good, unless he spots a rabbit, although he very rarely wins the chase!

At home he has free reign, bedrooms are is only restriction/no go areas. He loves to be with you and often can be found outside the bathroom or bedroom waiting for you. He has a good basket of toys, and likes to bring them to you when he fancies playing.

Max is just a lovely natured young boy, he welcomes every visitor with a toy! He plays with both of our children and is very loving to all of us. He doesn't get on the furniture unless you invite him too ... and we all do that, as he likes nothing better to cuddle up and sleep.

We take him to a village obedience class once a week to help him with his social skills with other dogs, which is still a little random, but certainly better.

Can I just say a massive thank you to both you and Diane, for helping us find Max and for all the work the rescue do.

Regards

Mark and Claire

Hi All,

Here is Jakey (was Jacob) that we collected from you on Saturday morning after receiving the phone call on Thursday to say that you had a pup that was looking for his 'forever home'.

At 4 months old he is an absolute joy and developing his own little character... He's picking up training really fast and so enjoyable to teach.

He has fitted in perfectly and loved to pieces.

Thank-you so much for giving us such a perfect pet :-) xx

Kind Regards and Best Wishes...

I would like to tell you that Maggie whom we adopted in June is a truly wonderful girl.

Having had her treatment at the vets we are now hopeful she will now be fit and healthy for years to come. We cannot believe how loving and well behaved she is. She knows that she is loved and gives so much happiness back. She loves her walks, her treats and races me to bed to claim her place on the bed.

We have been blessed with Maggie and Chance, our elder springer, has accepted her and they get on so well, even Amber the cat enjoys her company. We are so happy that John introduced us to Maggie and how she has enriched our lives.

THANKYOU for all the good works you do and may you be able to help these beautiful dogs long into the future as they need you.

Best wishes

Hi John,

Max has settled in well and enjoying life to the full, he had no discipline and is very head strong, but now he is healing and has not been on lead for 5 days.

He is getting on well with the other dogs and has not been a problem in his kennel( no mess no barking).

I will take him picking up in 3 weeks and fingers crossed he will be ok.

Kind Regards

Hi everyone,

I have been living with my new parents for seven weeks now and am a very happy, contented little girl. I have made new canine friends in the fields behind our house and been taken on lots of walks in the surrounding countryside. The neighbours have been keen to meet me and say how pretty I am, (which is lovely to hear because I am still rather shy)!! I love exploring my garden and try to avoid stepping on Mum's plants although she has told me it is my garden now, but I still try to avoid the plants!!

Last month we spent four days in a cottage in the Cotswolds which was absolute heaven and I had lots of fun romping around in the meadows. I have the run of the house downstairs with a lovely comfy bed in the kitchen. However, we've recently had a new three piece suite delivered and, although I know I shouldn't, I do jump up on Dad's chair for a nap half way through the night. He knows because the chair is still warm so he now lays a cover on it which means I don't feel quite so guilty!!

Last week I had a groom (first two photos) and even I think I look rather lovely!! Mum is taking me to training classes next month which I am looking forward to as I will meet more new friends. The classes are designed for rescue dogs, (like myself), and will assist with certain areas which Mum and Dad want to focus on. My recall is brilliant, unless I see other dogs then I simply want to play!! What's wrong with that I say!! I also have a tendency to jump up which is not a good idea, especially if the object of my attention is wearing a nice outfit.Anyway, I am perfect in every other way so I am happy to go along with Mum to keep her happy and have fun too.

I love having cuddles so in a moment I am going to snuggle up on Mum's lap for a snooze which is a perfect end to my day.

Cheerio for now.....

Hi John

Just a quick line to help put Rebecca's mind at rest.

Woody spent a lot of time outdoors yesterday. I took him on a local walk where we encountered horse and rider, a jogger, numerous cyclists, and people out walking their dogs. I kept him on a long lead and he was fab with all he encountered.

In the afternoon we met friends for a beach walk. Woody met 15 other dogs and once again was great. We let him off the lead. I felt so brave so early on but we had safety in numbers and lots going on to keep him with us. He was fantastic. He knows my voice and would always return when I tested his recall. He really enjoys the sea and had a fab time.

Duke and Woody appear to be ok. Every now and then I catch sight of Duke having a sneaky sniff of the new addition. I'm pretty sure they will be friends.

Woody knows where our bed is and the best place to lie to get a belly rub. He is funny, he goes down in the morning for his breakfast and business. On the way up he goes in to Duke's bed. He finds a toy and brings it up looking as proud as punch. We have not yet tested leaving them alone. But I have every confidence it will be a success.

Hi everyone

Just a few more pictures of Max taken over the summer, as you can see he has had a fab time. We have been very busy camping at flyball competitions twice a month and he took to camping life really well.

He also had a go at gundog scurry at a country fair and got the hang of it really quickly.

He and Ella are inseparable and he listens to her every word. Elaine did a fantastic job with his training.

Best wishes.

Rachel
