Dear Di , Ian and John,
Was so nice to hear from you at CAESSR. We talk often about you still and often recall with others' the lovely memories we had of how we came about to get Chip. I can't believe we've had him 3 years in a couple of days time!! He's still as lovely and spoilt as ever. (curled up and snoring on the sofa as I speak!!)
When we first had him we already had chickens and he would often chase them but now he's quite happy wandering around with them in our back field and has quite a rapport with our ducks, Gus and Chucky!! His girlfriend Kizzy, a beautiful pomeranian type dog lives just down the lane and his best friend is a chocolate sprocker called Hugo. We still see Mr Hunter and spaniel Frodo, who came from CAESSR also, when we're out walking.
Chip loves our old campervan and going travelling with us. The attached picture is of him and my son on one of those holidays . I can't remember not ever having him now...
Like I think I said in my first letter to you, shortly after we had him, we are so grateful to his first family for letting us share him. I'm sure he is very lucky to have had us both.
Hope all is well with you and the dogs currently in your good care. Happy Christmas to you all and best wishes for 2017.
Best Regards
Sue x
Hello Ian,

It's hard to believe that it's just over 2 months since we collected Jakey from CAESSR. He was an over excited, slightly overweight boy, with a bandaged tail. It's been quite a journey, but he's so much calmer now. Very loving and affectionate, always wanting fuss and cuddles. His tail has completely healed up and he shows no sign of any further damage, but he still wags it profusely! He's a real hit with everyone he meets whether human or dog, loves his fetch games and will even jump and catch a thrown ball. He's now much slimmer and the Skeldale team (TV's Yorkshire Vet) are really impressed with his new lease of life, he's reached his target weight. Here are some photos showing just how happy he is.
Thanks again,
Lisa and Jerry, North Yorkshire
Hi John,
Rupert has been with me for over a year now and it is like he has always been here. He is out walking on the Fells and on the beaches when ever possible. He has had some really good trips away in the camper-van in Scotland. He really travels well.
Rupert has been doing Agility work and is doing well, he loves the jumps...or is it the food at the end?
Thank you so much for finding such a great dog

Willow came to live with us and our 10 year old labrador Jack in February 2016. She’s a very friendly and affectionate dog and she settled in quite quickly. She likes a lot of attention but fortunately Jack is a calming influence! We’re lucky to have access to some good fields and woods where Willow can run and burn off some of that excess enthusiasm that most spaniels seem to have!

Willow has been with us for nearly 10 months now and we’re really enjoying having her in our family. It’s been good for Jack too because she’s livened up his average day and she’s good company for him. I’ve attached some recent photos.
Thank you to everyone at CAESSR who made all this possible.
Keep up the good work.
John & Gwyn

Brodie has stolen all our hearts and will be in them forever. He loves the boys and has settled himself right into our home and he is very welcome.
Thank you to you all for picking us for Brodie.
Dreams do come true!

Dear Di
We just wanted to update you on our lovely Holly. I have attached a picture of her relaxing in the living room.
Holly is doing really well. A complete joy. She had settled well. Very jumpy and barks a bit with noises and any swift movement but we are learning from her as much as she is learning about her new life from us.
We have started running together. Just short runs for now. We got to 3 miles yesterday and she's loving it. Walking is coming on well. No barking at other dogs with lots of encouragement as we go by and becoming more relaxed with new human friends that come to visit. Both of our boys have been home on special visits with there girlfriends to meet Holly and she loves them, turns into a real flirt!!
We start training in January with Cosford Dog Training . He's an ex RAF dog handler. I have also purchased his book ready for lessons and hints and tips along the way.
I have great determination to give Holly a happy and fulfilled life
Thank you and all caessr friends for being so kind to us along the way.
Hope we can keep in touch.
Kind regards
Jacqueline and Graeme
Dear Friends at Caessr,
I've been at my new home now for around a week and I am settling in well. I love walking through the woods and fields and during the day either going into Phil's Office at home or with him to work in the car.

To all my friends at Caessr's.
Thank you for helping me find a new home so quickly. My new owner Phil came and collected me this morning and we hit it off straight away. As soon as I arrived at my
new home (a 2 hour car journey) I had a nice bowl of food and a drink of water and then met the two cats!!!!!!
As you will see I've only been here a couple of hours but have found the rug in front of the wood burner is very comfortable. When I've been here a little longer (maybe the end of the week) I will send you some more photographs showing how I am getting on with Phil and the rest of the family - Sue, Sam and Emily.
Special thanks again to Di, John and Ann.

Monty is great all healed and putting on weight. He is a wonderful dog who loves life to the full.
He has settled in so well you would think he had been here forever.
Just taken him for a walk so I have sent you an up-to-date photo
Thanks again

Hello Ian
I would like to offer to help in a voluntary capacity for CAESSR possibly helping with home checks and transport runs. We adopted a young 8 month old golden Cocker from CAESSR earlier this year and I would very much like to help in some small way. You all do a wonderful job and if I can contribute in any way I would be delighted.
As to Milly, she is getting on really well. She is such a happy dog and is proving to have a delightful temperament even if she is a live wire! We’ve still some work to do with regard to chasing birds as she is obsessed with them (as are many Cockers). But we know where we stand so we carefully assess where we can let her off the long line. She is friendly to one and all and gets on really well with all dogs she meets on our walks. We absolutely adore her and love having her as part of our family.
Kind regards and I hope to hear from you soon.
