Hello John

Remember Morgan?? The little liver and white springer we collected from the kennels in June. We soon christened him Mad Morgan because he was the most hyper excitable dog we’ve ever owned. Having had 6 springers previously we thought we knew what to do but he has been a real challenge. However, after 5 and a bit months of blood, sweat and tears (not much of the first, but plenty of the other two!!) we finally turned a corner a few weeks ago and are now able to let him off the lead. Morgan is a good name for him, because like the sports car he can do 0 - 60 in 10 seconds! We give them at least an hour, often more, off the lead ever day and like all good springers he covers ten times or more the distance we do in that time.

I’m attaching a couple of photos of Morgan with Jasper in Tatton Park. This huge National Trust property right on our doorstep has 1000+ acres open to public access. Morgan is now in seventh heaven! It also has lots of muddy puddles!! Moragn is the smaller of the two with the white face.

We wish you and all ay CAESSR a very happy Christmas.

Best wishes from,

Mary, John, Morgan and Jasper

Hi John and everyone at CAESSR.

Just a quick email to wish you all a very happy Christmas and best wishes for the new year. I received my Calendar and Cards thank you they were amazing.

Marley is a completely different dog (and much slimmer) he has settled so well, still a bit nervous of sudden noises and people he hasn't met before but he is enjoying his new home. We have been to a secure field at Greyhound Gap in Kidsgrove where he could run free in a secure paddock and he really loved it, it was so nice to see him off the lead as his recall is not existent !!! we are not brave enough to let him run around where there are other dogs as he doesn't seem to like any colour, size or breed. Hopefully we will be using the paddock more in the new year.

He has been such a good boy, he has lots of treats and toys waiting for him on Christmas day. He is very rarely left home alone so he has lots of company each day.

>

The mobile dog groomer came to the house a couple of weeks ago, it was hard going as he was so nervous but she was great with him and he now smells and looks wonderful (for how long I'm not sure as he loves to jump in the muddy soil in the garden). He now seems to have more brown spots and markings.

He eats and sleeps well and is very affectionate, giving us lots of cuddles. The only thing we need to work on is pulling on the lead, we bought a Metuki balance harness but he is like a husky pulling a sleigh ! but its all good fun.

I have attached a couple of pictures of him enjoying his new lifestyle.

Best wishes

Janice and family

Hi Ian and Di,

It's a year now since I first saw Jimbob on Facebook when he was at Hillbrae. We are so happy to have him, he is a really lovely dog, and we are grateful that you gave us the chance to take him home last February. He is doing very well, no health issues at all. He is good pals with the other two dogs, but he gets spoiled just a little bit more than they do! Please would you pass on this message to foster carers Tony and Jane too.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Shirley

Hello Di, Ian and John,

We would like to wish you and your Team Merry Christmas and all the best for 2017!

Millie is doing very well and is now getting on well with most dogs, Hurray!!! She is such a quick learner and it’s a joy to be out and about with her as her recall is excellent. She enjoys life to the full and she does not walk, it has to be running to be any fun. She does wait for me if I can’t keep up, that’s kind of her I suppose.

Millie is still a bit anxious and nervous at times but we can deal with that. She is simply a bit highly strung. She is excellent around the house. Very affectionate as well. So, everything is fine in Millie’s life at the moment.

Kind regards

Monika, Steve, Michael and Millie

Hello Diane, Ian and John

It’s Domino here, sorry I haven’t been in touch but I’ve been very busy in the past year with my Mum and Dad.

I’ve been spending a lot of time helping out in the Garden. I’m especially good pulling up weeds and shaking the dirt off them everywhere. So good that Mum and Dad put some of the weeds back in the garden for me to pull out again. They call them “plants” but I know they are weeds.

Here I am enjoying the fruits of my labour.

Unpacking the shopping is another important job for me. Here I am making sure this bag is empty.

Its not all work for me though, I’ve been to see Granny in Norfolk a lot this year. I get time to kick back, have fun on the beach, jump on some bales and practice my swimming.

Thank you so much for finding me a lovely home. Mum and Dad say they don’t know what they done before I came to play. All your hard work and dedication means so much to me and all my 4-pawed chums.

Better go now, have some presents to wrap

Very best wishes for a well deserved Christmas & New Year to all at Caessr from the 3 J's, Jennifer Joseph & Jamie. Hats off to you all (not just Santa Claus ones) for the work you do all year round.

We have had Jamie now since July 2013, thank you so much for this delight. He has adapted extremely well to life both here and across the waters to France where he is adored by everyone. Being our first rescue, needless to say, he is spoiled by his Dad who since his retirement last year wont leave him on his own so we are truly a threesome.

I have attached some photo's, hopefully they will be okay, this is not my strongest skill. He is on the go most of the time so its difficult to get motion shots of him that are not blurred. He seems to be aware it's Christmas although he doesn't know what it means apart from getting his teeth around discarded wrapping paper etc and the chance of different food not normally eaten during the year. He is still a thief and the vegetable rack doesn't stand a chance against his nose and mouth.

In the past few days, he thinks he's in training to be one of Santa's reindeers and after a 'hard days night' has been relaxing and enjoying the fruits (or should that be) veggies of his hard labour. (photo's att).

We will keep up to date in 2017. Happy Christmas & New Year to all staff at Caessr.

Jennifer Joseph & Jamie

Dear John,

Sebbie is wonderful, and such a gentle boy. He comes to work with me and either lies on my feet waiting for my every move ( we are working on this as he gets anxious if left) or regularly goes around the office checking to find out if anyone has anything tasty for him to eat!

He loves his walks and is generally very good apart from when he sees pheasants or rabbits..and then has lots of fun chasing, we are left standing, despairing and waiting for the return of a bedraggled Seb!

Seb has been on lots of trips, and has had some great fun times in Norfolk, Cornwall, and visiting family in Shropshire as well as lovely outings here in Oxfordshire.

Seb has made a few friends in our village, but sometimes gets nervous when he meets other dogs in open spaces, so we are working on this as well.

We hope you all have a very Happy Christmas and Thank You again for the lovely addition to our family.

Festive Greetings from Pepsi!

He is doing so well and is such a lovely dog!

Pepsi is now much more relaxed and used to being out and about. His recall is improving and we are enjoying dog training sessions.

Wishing all at CAESSR a Merry Christmas. Our thanks for letting us adopt Pepsi - he has filled a gap in our family following the loss of our previous Cocker Spaniel Inca earlier this year.

Best wishes

Karen, Adrian and Pepsi xxx

Hi Di

Charlie is settling very well, he is eating well and is bundle of fun. We have enrolled in a puppy training class to start in the New year to socialise him other dogs without going to mad. At the moment he thinks everyone wants to be his best friend and play, dogs and humans alike. We will also have to work on his recall as he is easily distracted and ignores us, but this will improve with time. He looks as if he will become my Granddaughters best friend.

We are delighted with him and look forward to many happy times together.

Best Regards

Sheila

Merry Christmas to all at Caessr's.

Latest update on Alfie who has now been with us for 5 weeks. He has settled in really well and is even getting on with our cantankerous cat!!

He is into everything and as you can imagine was a great help (NOT) at putting up the Christmas tree and decorations.

He really is now one of the family and when I travel to my head office in South Wales I have to take him with me or questions are asked!!!!

Thank you again Ian, Di and John for letting us adopt Alfie he has filled a huge void following the loss of our previous dog.

Dear Ian

Please would you let Oscar’s previous owners, Katy and Kay, know that Bella and Oscar are very well. There have been lots of walks in the New Forest and swimming and sploshing about in forest streams. In the garden lots of ball throwing has been going on and the pond has been a much used cooling off pool ! Bella in particular has used this as her own swimming pool, she absolutely loves having either a short or long swim in it !

We have continued to take Bella to training classes which she really enjoys. Whilst there she particularly likes making eyes at Fred the lurcher and melts everyone’s heart with the way she scampers into the dog bed when told to!! She gained her bronze award (pic attached) in the KC good manners for dogs and is going for her silver award just before Christmas.

We have been doing training at home with Oscar as he seems to prefer being out in the field. He really is such a darling and always raises a smile as he rushes to find something – usually a shoe or cuddly toy to bring us. They have also been on holiday to South Wales where Oscar in particular loved charging around on the vast, sandy beaches putting up seagulls. His energy is just amazing !

We love them dearly and are looking forward to our first Christmas together. As I type this Oscar is stretched out on the sofa next to me and Bella is curled up in an armchair next to the sofa!

Wishing Kay and Katy and all at CAESSR a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2017.

Best wishes and very many thanks

Paul and Caroline

Hi Ian, Di and John.

Hope you are all well.

Just thought I would drop you an email to give you an update on Heidi.

She is an amazing little dog and settled with us so quickly. She has made a great addition to the family and is very loving and happy. Walks on the beach are a big favourite of hers and she is getting much better travelling in the car. She is great with other dogs and very enthusiastic when we bump in to them on our walks. My suspicions are she has lived with other dogs. She tries to lie with my friends dog and I can see she craves companionship. We do feel it would be good for her to have a friend so we have decided to actively start looking in the new year so I will be in touch and hopefully you will able to help and advise us.

Have a lovely Christmas.

Best wishes,

Tina and Family.

Dear Ian and Diana

We rehomed Mister on Monday 7th September 2015 when he was 10 years old so we thought you'd like an update on his progress.

Here are some pictures of him in the frost this morning. He has been the most delightful addition to our household and was completely settled in by about the second day. He gets on so well with Dylan, our other Springer. Mister is very affectionate, good natured and faithful and yet he is also determined and with his own mind, too! A credit to his former home.

Remembering also: Molly, our treasure, also rehomed from CAESSR, 14th February 2014, aged 12 years old. Molly passed away 29th July 2015, aged 14 years old. She was an absolute Star. (She had been pictured in the newspaper with John P and Anne G, to promote CAESSR etc).

Hi John &Di

Thought you might like this picture of Buster & Buddy at Heddons Mouth on Exmoor.

He's settled in well and Buster is enjoying having a new friend to play with. Working on recall as any little distraction is far more interesting than me!! And getting up to mischief is his favourite pastime so a typical Springer!!

Hope you like the picture

Ian
