It has been just over 6 months since my last update... boy doesn't time fly! I wanted to write to say a big thank you and to let you know how I’m getting on.
I am still on the same daily medication for my Addison’s and still steady and its working great. It costs us £300 a year, but we think this is a very good price for the quality of life it is allowing me to have.
Over the last few months we have been adventuring and finding lots of new walks. My particular favourite is Macclesfield Forrest and its 9km circular, which Dad finds rather exhausting, but we think its very fun.
I am full of energy as always and Dad says I’m doing very well.
I wanted to say a big thank you again for your continued support and sponsorship. It really helps me to live a normal happy life.
Thank you,
Bailey
Thank you to all my sponsors, it means a lot to me and my family and to all the members of The Cocker and English Springer Spaniel Rescue.
I am still on the same daily medication for my Addison’s and its working great. It costs us £18.75 every 25 days which is very reasonable.
All through this summer I have been staying in North Wales at my Grandparents house. They have 4 acres of field for me, Ben & Beau to play on. We were joined by Ben’s brother Bill. The 4 acres also includes a stream…. Hehehe we all know what that means…..
Although Dad wasn’t always best pleased with us hehehe.

My socialisation is now perfect and I can play nicely with all the other dogs I meet. My family are very proud of me, and we all get to have a whale of a time.
I have attached a few picture of me and my family sporting our snazzy new haircuts, don’t we look handsome! (I’m on the Left of picture 1, and at the back on picture 2)

New Year’s Eve was my two year anniversary being with my forever family. It was only supposed to be a temporary placement as my Dad already had two other spaniels, but I settled in so well that they just couldn’t let me go to anyone else.
I do love my family, I have a brother and sister, a Mummy and a Daddy and some Kiddies to play with. I am very very happy here. My Dad tells me that I have changed tremendously in that time. My fear aggression has gone and my socialising problems are now non-existent. I love to play.
My Dad says this about me “You would not think he was 9 at the end of Dec 2013 he’s as mad as my other younger 2 just lacking there stamina nowadays. He just loves life.”

I have attached a few picture of me and my family enjoying our recent activities.
This is one of me meeting some cows… they look funny!
This one is my favourite, I got to play on Rhyl beach in Wales and play in the water. Dad says I’m a little bit mischievous just because I like to chase the birds and develop ‘spaniel deaf ears’ hehehe.
I’ve attached just one more, from our first walk of 2014 as I know you like to see what a handsome boy I am! (I’m on the right).
I wanted to say a big thank you again for your continued support and sponsorship. It really helps me to live a normal happy life.
Thank you,

Bailey
Sadly, my previous owner has had to go into long term hospital care and her father who was helping take care of me, passed away.
CAESSR placed me in the home of my foster carer Carl, who has offered me a loving and secure place to live with the company of 2 other Springer Spaniels. When I first arrived, I was anxious and took time to settle into my new surroundings.
I have a condition called Addison’s disease and need to take daily medication to feel well and happy. With the right balance of drugs and careful monitoring I can lead a normal, active and fun-filled life.
From Bailey’s family -
“Bailey came to us on New year’s eve an anxious frightened dog.
With patience and love he has grown to love his new family. He jumps for joy and brings you gifts when he's not seen you for a while, but most of all he loves to cuddle up on the couch at the end of the day. He came to us confused after 7 years with his previous owners and is now loving life again what a joy it's been having Bailey."
Please sponsor me and follow my adventures with my new sister and brother: Beau and Ben.
My daily medications can be very expensive, without which, I would become very poorly.
