Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Wiggle is a gentle working Cocker Spaniel. He is black with a small white flash on his chest.
At 9 and a half years old he has lived with the same owner all of his life, but his owner's ill health means he isn't getting all of the exercise that he needs.
Wiggle is neutered, up to date with his vaccinations and flea/wormer preventatives. He is used to livestock and other dogs, although he isn't really interested in interacting with them. He travels well in the car, can be left for short periods and has reasonable recall (two blasts of the whistle) although can get distracted as do most spaniels! He was great with the vet at his health check (although he is now on a little diet, but we hope he doesn't hold that against the vet!).
Are you looking for an older chap for short walks and curling up together on the sofa?
Lily and chocolate working cocker spaniel. She is almost five years old and has been surrendered due to a change of circumstances at home.
She is a petite and sweet girl who deserves a forever home where she will get lots of love and walks. She travels well in the car, recalls to whistle and walks well on lead.
She is toilet trained and has had experience of living with another spaniel, and living a mix of indoors and outdoors. SHe hasn't been tested with cats.
She will be spayed before she leaves our care, but we would prefer for her to recuperate in her forever home rather than in kennels.
Do you have room in your life for a lovely cocker spaniel like Lily?
Sporky is a chocolate brown and white Sprocker spaniel. He will be two years old in March.
He is a strong dog who has lacked sufficient exercise and training in his youth.
He loves mud, long walks and has been good in the car and at the vet.
He needs a strong and experienced owner who can help him do lots of 'spanieling' and teach him better recall and to not pull on lead.
He is full of potential in the right hands.
Can you give Sporky the forever home he really deserves?
Hiccup is a four year old black and white Show Springer who has been surrendered along with his mom (Skye) due to family ill health.
Hiccup and Skye are currently in one of our foster homes where they are being assessed.
Hiccup's fur was badly matted and his skin was sore as a result. He was incredibly well behaved for his groom, and is feeling much better as a result. It is essential that his coat is maintained to avoid any future discomfort.
Hiccup is a typical spaniel who loves his food and will settle happily after a long walk. He is walking well on a figure of 8 lead and is ball obsessed. He loves to carry them around and is learning to drop them so you can throw it for him to fetch. His recall has potential, but is very much a work in progress.
He travels really well in the car and is good with older children.
Hiccup and Skye are a bonded pair, so it is our hope that they can be rehomed together.

Skye is a six year old liver and white Show Springer Spaniel. She has been surrendered along with her son Hiccup due to family illness.
They are a strongly bonded pair and our hope is that they will be rehomed together.
Skye is a lovely girl who travels well in the car, is house trained, has some recall and will walk well on lead after some initial excitement.
She is used to being the boss and spends most of the time curled up with Hiccup.
Once Skye has been spayed she will be available for adoption with Hiccup.
