Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Bailey is a 5 1/2 year old red show type cocker spaniel. He needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances and is now having to be home alone for very long hours. Bailey is used to older children but has no experience of cats. He can be a bit grumpy when meeting new people. However, he is now good with the kennel staff and dog walkers. He does need to be muzzled when going to the vet - mainly due to his sore ears that need regular cleaning. Bailey is OK when left home alone for short periods. He is very good on and off the lead. He won't lose you! He travels well in the car.
Harvey is a 9 1/2 year old Golden show type Cocker Spaniel. One of his owners has sadly passed away and the other is seriously ill, so this lovely boy, who was homed by CAESSR when he was 2 years old is looking for a loving retirement home. Harvey is not happy with visiting young children and he is not happy when left home alone. However, he travels well in the car. He is an affectionate boy who is used to sleeping in his bed in the bedroom. He pulls a bit on the lead, but has very good recall.
Roxy & Skye came into our care on a temporary arrangement in Spring of 2023 when their owner was too ill to care for them. We spent time grooming, walking and entertaining them and ensuring they received regular health check-ups...and falling a little bit in love with them! The plan was for them to go back to their owner once she was well enough to care for them again. However, just as they were due to go back home, their owner sadly passed away. As a result, they have recently been signed over to CAESSR meaning that we need to find them a forever home. These two older ladies are believed to be mother and daughter. Roxy is 13 years old and is Chocolate Roan and Skye is about 10 years old and is Black. Both are Show type Cockers. They are a strongly bonded pair, and we are keen for them to be rehomed together. Being a little older Roxy doesn't walk very far, but she still loves lots of fuss and treats! Skye is still up for slighter longer walks and is very easy going.
Could you provide Roxy & Skye a much overdue and very deserved comfortable retirement home?
