Dear John
Heartbreakingly we have to let you know that Toby was put to sleep yesterday. Toby was a wonderful springer who was much loved by everyone who knew him.
We retired early 2020 and moved with him to the Yorkshire Dales where he had the freedom of the hills to bounce around doing what springers do best. He was afraid of water when he came to us but with the amount of rain up here, he quickly got over that and learnt to swim which added a whole new excitement to his life.
Toby would have reached his 14th birthday in November but over the last year he had become arthritic, he was losing his eyesight, his hearing, and his marbles too. The time came when he needed help to get up and struggled to lie down.
Thank you for introducing such a wonderful dog to us.
John and Raewyn Parkinson
